Karan Johar in his petition requested to issue a permanent restraining order on the film producer IndiaPride Advisory, Sanjay Singh and writer-director Bablu Singh from using his name in the title of the film. The issue was mentioned before a bench of Justice RI Chagla on Wednesday. The court said that it will hear the petition on Thursday. The film is scheduled to release on June 14.

Karan Johar has claimed that he has no connection with the film and its producers. His name has been misused in the film. He says that using his name directly in the title violates his personality rights, publicity and privacy rights. Karan also said that by using his ‘brand name’ in a wrong way, the producers are taking advantage of his goodwill and reputation, which is not legally acceptable. For this reason, the release of the film should be stopped immediately. The case will be heard today.
